Ford F-100 1951 Description
This 1951 Ford F-1 commands attention everywhere it goes. The truck is very solid with no rust, the paint is basecoat clearcoat so will hold up well. The truck has a Heidts IFS installed with tubular control arms, power steering and front disc brakes. The rear axle has been flipped and the frame C notched to give the truck a very low stance and a great ride. The engine is a 302 V8 with Mallory ignition, Wieand aluminum intake manifold, Edelbrock carburator and headers. The truck has a V-belt aluminum pulley setup with an aftermarket power steering pump. The transmission is a 94-96 Mustang T5 with a new clutch and hardware. The rear axle is a 9 inch with 3:50 gearing. With this setup the truck runs and rides comfortably at 70 mph with ease. The pickup was also fitted with new Wheel Vintiques smoothy wheels and Coker WWW radials. During the build the truck was treated to a new wiring harness from front to rear to make it dependable for daily driving. The bed floor is distressed looking with a fresh coat of poly anf the new fuel tank is located under the bed. On the inside the red bucket seat interior is very nice, the seats are very nice with no damage as it the new carpeting. The headliner is black cloth and the kick panels are new. The dash had a fresh repaint and houses new Dolphin gauges made for these F100 trucks. All the lights and gauges are in working order, the truck does have heat and an AM/FM radio. The wipers are inoperable...rainex does the trick. A GM tilt column was also added along with a custom leather wrapped steering wheel and a custom shifter. The trucks logos are painted on just like the truck in the TV show....
