Ford F-100 1965 Description
Hi here we go...I MUST sell this one and thin out my collection...this is one great original truck. I only find collect and own original trucks that are unmodified and in original condition. I don't mind a few changes but over all i like them original and I put my wheels on them to give them that 70s look I like. This auction is NO RESERVE...that means you must have the highest bid when the listing ends in order to be the next owner. I am now located in Arizona, and will be back in town for the weekend after this auction ends. You must pick up the truck between Friday and Sunday in person, and only cash will be accepted. I will not accept any other form of payment except Cash in person. If you want to have the truck shipped and are bidding from a long distance, than you will have to arrange an "agent"(friend, laywer, someone) to show up and pay for the truck, then they can take possession or have the truck picked up from my property where it is stored in Belleville Michigan. Or feel free to fly in and drive it home. It is a 50 year old and is not pefect but it starts runs and drives strong and reliably and has never left anyone stranded in its life. Here is the description best I can.
There is 3 owners, Me, the man I bought it from and his grand father. I purchased from the grandson he owned it for the last 35 years. It's documented to prove this.
It is basically rust free as far as anyone out east is concerned.Any of the orange you see is simply a clear film of sorts that acually buffs out or rubs away with compound and a terrycloth or scotch brite. I don't consider this rust at all.AndI hear it's called Petina these days and many are spraying clear over it to preserve the "old"...but its just good ole faded paint to me. The original undercoating is now flaking off and the original underpaint is now visible throughout most the underside and it looks like new under it. There is no rusted bolts orpartsunderside sheet metal or on the frame, brake lines, fuel lines, backing plates...its all clean.Engine was replaced with a remanufactured engine in 2000.
Everything else original, if not maintained.
Factory Manual choke, Starts and runs smooth, shifts fine, accelerates strong, and stops with no problems. It is ready for end of summer weekend work andcruising Woodward, Gratiot and Telegraph,
Original paint, lots of scratches, dings and dents.
Interior is as seen, everything works, no radio.
There is currently bucket seats in it from a old lincoln. These are unfortunaly just setting in the truck now, not fastened down! But it has been driven this way for years. Not exactly the safest, but hey, Its small stuff.Lastly, a set of custom preserved 15x10 and 15x7 with brand new tires.0 miles, this is a $2000.00+ set of Detroit Vintage Wheels.
Must see. Base model no frills truck, but yest its a very Unique truck.
Yes its NO RESERVE... I am only in town for a few days...and I unfortunaly must sell this the last weekend when I am in town. I don't have time or patiencemuch anymoreto dicker around with people on what my lowest price is and what the most your willing to pay is. NO RESERVE
