Ford F-250 1986 Description
We are a Ford dealer in Southeast Iowa and have been in business for 56 years. We are selling this real clean 1986 Ford F250 Super cab 2 wheel drive pickup. The customer who we got it from bought it on October 28, 1997. He bought it from a guy in Fort Dodge Iowa. It only has 67,777 original miles. It is really an unbelievable truck. The XLT Lariat package that year was truly one of the nicest trucks Ford ever built. It is equipped as follows: 460 engine, C-6 automatic transmission, Factory Air Conditioner, Power steering and brakes, Fancy Victoria 4 tone paint, Power Locks and Windows, Cruise control, tilt wheel, AM-FM Cassette, Deluxe wheel covers, and gooseneck (the ball is missing but the mount is there) The velour seat is really cool and is in very nice condition. As far as the service work we performed in our service department: Complete service, oil and filter, ck all fluids, replace power steering hose, replace both door strikers, replace left door lock actuator, replace wiper blades, replace both fuel tanks, replace both fuel pumps, minor adjustments to carb, replace right front brake caliper, install spare tire underneath box,Complete Frontend Alignment, and complete detail job. The truck starts, runs, and drives real good. It shifts like it should. All the power windows, locks, air conditioning, cruise control, and radio all work. There are some paint chips on it here and there, but no or very little rust, as the body is very very good. Someone took the Ford Motorcraft carb off of it and installed a Holley years ago. the air cleaner is an aftermarket and not original. They also took the smog pump off. The guy who we got it from was worried about the in tank fuel pumps going bad, so he cut out the box above each fuel pump so he had access to replace the pumps without taking tanks out. You can see pictures of the box along with some close ups of the paint chips. Overall this is a very nice original low mileage truck that is ready to enjoy.
