Ford Model T 1921 Description
Up for your consideration is a complete and intact 1921 Model T Ford Roadster. The engine number is from August of 1921 and the Tin Lizzie runs and purrs like a little teapot. Drives down the road well and stops just like a Model T should. No additions besides a water pump has been added to this car. The car was given some subtle pin-striping in the 1950s and I suspect the motor was gone through at that time judging by its nice sound. I haven’t ripped into the mechanics as I don’t have space to do that- the magneto runs very weakly at speed and probably either needs a cleaning at the post or a recharge, soI just run it on the battery and it purrs along very well. It has an external magneto oiler that is better lubrication for the front of the engine.
Good tires that hold air well, demountable rims and the interior and roof were reupholstered within the past 5 or so years. The floorboards look original and all the sheet metal is too, the car has a nice warm patina of a 95 year old car and it has lots of nicks, scratches and touch-ups from its lifetime. The radiator keeps the car cool and it can sit at idle and remain cool. Has an original working moto-meter on the radiator, which I can’t remove, and don’t want to damage it. All lights and original horn work.
Overall this is a respectably good running flivver and always turns heads, a complete 1921 Roadster that looks sharp and drives well. I hope I look this nice at 95! Non-refundable $300 deposit due at end of auction through PayPal and balance due upon pick-up. I prefer bank-to-bank wire or cash, no international bidders please. US only- these fine old cars don’t handle the far trips very well. I have a clear and open title ready for a new owner.Feel free toask any questions before bidding and if you need more pics, just ask. Thanks for looking. I have a video posted on youtube and you can hear the car running by searching “1921 Ford Model T Chochole”
