Ford Other Pickups 1951 Description
AWESOME 1951 FORD F1 PATINA TRUCK!!!!FIVE STAR CAB PACKAGE!!!This truck spent its early life on the Fort Sill Military Base in Lawton OK. It was then purchased by an individual who at some point parked it in a barn in OK where it sat for over 30 years. It was then bought by a man from Ada OK who basically disassembled the truck did all the necessary sheet metal repair (which was very minimal) and brought it to its current appearance. There is ZERO RUST on this truck. The body was sandblasted down to bare metal all repairs were made it was then primed and painted with Sheridan Blue paint then hand rubbed and sanded to bring it to its PATINA look then clear coated. The body work is smooth as glass however he decided to leave the "tiny" dings in the bed rails tailgate and running boards to give it an authentic look and to show how little this truck was ever used. The grill which originally had 3 "teeth" has been customized now having 5 teeth. The grill wheels and parts of the dash are painted with Wimbledon White. Under the hood is a freshly built 383 Stroker with an Edlebrock 2X4 intake and Edelbrock carbs. It has a mild cam just enough to give it a cool sound but without the heavy lope. The engine has double hump iron heads covered with finned aluminum valve covers. All pulleys are billet aluminum with chrome alternator and power steering pump. It has an aluminum radiator with a chrome electric fan to keep it running cool. The engine has less than 1000 miles on it. The battery box was removed from under the hood and re-located to the bed. The current battery box is actually a post World War 2 ammo box with a battery tray built inside it. The ammo box is a nice addition to the Patina Military history of the truck. The truck has a brand new 700R4 tranny with a Ford 9 inch rear end with 350 posi-trac gears and drum brakes. The rear end is sitting on leak springs while the front end has a brand new MUSTANG 2 TUBULAR FRONT END WITH COIL OVERS DROP SPINALS AND DISK BRAKES to give it a nice ride. POWER RACK & PINION STEERING was recently added along with a brand new chrome column shift steering column. Aftermarket gauges were added in the dash....all of them work except the speedometer.... I was told it needed a different cable end after going from a turbo 350 to the 700R4.All the glass is in new condition both door glasses roll up and down perfectly. The seat and door panels have recently been upholstered but the floor covering and headliner are not yet in the truck. I have a brand new OEM rubber floor covering as well as a new OEM headliner that will come with the truck. Actually the headliner and floor covering are the only two things left to do.Brand new tires were added recently they have less than 50 miles on them. This truck starts runs drives and stops great. Its a pleasure to drive. The new overdrive tranny makes road cruising very nice. It attracts a lot of attention at car shows as well as when driving it. Its a lot of fun but I'm moving on to something else. DON'T BE AFRAID TO BID ON THIS TRUCK!!!!! IT'S AN AWESOME TRUCK....I will except cash in person wire transfer from a U.S. Bank or dealing directly between your bank and mine. I won't release the truck until all funds are clear.
