Ford Torino 1969 Description
1969 Ford Torino Cobra 428CJ ram air 4spd. Verified with Marti report. This car is from my personal collection. I purchased the car approx 8 yrs. ago from George Poteete (If you know George and his world famous collection, you know he only ownes good quality stuff!) George purchased it from Colorado and receipts show it was also in the Dakotas. I had the car stripped and repainted black, which it already was when I received it car was originally green. The gentleman that did the paint cut out the lower right rear quarter section and replaced with new panel. He told me it was not from rust, but from what appeared to be where it was creased up and filled. George and I both both believe it to have the original drive train . If someone could tell me how to fully document or tell on a For, please let me know. All the casting numbers are correct down to the carburator Receipts show The engine had a rebuild in the early nineties, when it was in the Dakotas and only has had a few thousand miles put on it since then. When I purchased the car down south,we drove it home to N.E. Ohio and I would not be afraid to go cross country in it now,but keep in mind it is a 47 year old machine. I installed a pertronix kit to eliminate the points and the tach hasn't worked since. If I hook the tach the way it should b, the car will not run. I know there's something your supposed to do to remedy this,I just never did it. Car will not leave until wire or check has cleared, or cash in personNow the good: original 428 ram air 4spd unmolested car
