Ford Galaxie 1964 Description
This is an awesome ride, I have more fun driving this car than most I have, come by and check it out! I bought this car a couple years ago as a father-son project.....son did not stay interested for long, it was a two year process. This car is from AZ and is truly rust free, for real there is no rust. There is surface rust of course this thing is half a century old! Once home we cleaned out the entire car, pulled the interior, all the suspension and front clip. I sand blasted and painted most items checked and reinstalled everything reusable- surprisingly things were in really good shape- come see for yourself. The interior was not so good, most not reusable which is no problem as the theme was vintage racer from the beginning- no interior needed. Shocks are new KYB all four corners. Rear bumper is fiberglass with TITANIUM mounts. Radiator is aluminum with electric fan. I stopped short of completing the dream but perfect spot for the next owner to decide to put interior in it or continue vintage racer and next step would be roll bar. Currently the interior consists of a pair of early bronco bucket seats, a few essential gauges, TITANIUM door panels and super cool TITANIUM shifter controlling the TREMEC 5 speed! The rear is a open ford 9". The brakes are disc front and rear with power booster- super stopping power! The engine is a 1979 ford 351W, topped with edelbrock intake and carb also has the ford dura spark electronic distributor. Super cool old school NASCAR styled air cleaner. Dual flowmaster mufflers with custom 4" titanium turn outs. I've got lights, brake lights and seat belts so it's safe to drive. I've licensed and insured it and have been having fun terrorizing my neighborhood last several months. This car starts right up, drives excellent and stops amazing! Steering is manual and great! I'm happy to add more photos and show the car, it's for sale locally so the first person to show with cash gets it! There is no reserve- I don't play those games, listed for my low dollar and hopeful that I'll get more than that. The paint is by spray can, I do not do body work so I scotch brited the surface and sprayed a lot of black on it. I've got some decals made and will add a hood shot once the decal is finished. I have saved lots of extra parts and the new owner will have them. Non-refundable deposit of $200.00 due 48 hours after end of auction. The new owner of this vintage racer will be very happy, nothing else under $8000 is this much fun!
