Ford Torino 1970 Description
This car was purchased fall 2015 from an Ohio man. Although it ran when purchased (drove it home from West Virginia with no issues), upon getting it home we became aware that it needed some TLC (leaking fluids, looked as if the brakes hadn't been looked at in ages). Long story short, the car has had the engine and transmission overhauled (rebuilt by Jasper's), disc brake conversion, all new suspension, electronic ignition, new aluminum radiator and disc brake conversion all around. It was driven daily to and from work for a few months. The mileage is not believed to be actual and I've put roughly 1,000 miles on it since the rebuild. It comes with tons of new parts to continue its progress. As you can see, it does have rust, but nothing that cant be salvaged (view photos). It is a base model sedan, so it's a no frillscar with the stock 351 Cleveland V8 2v engine, but it is a blast to drive, easy to work on and people love to come and talk to you about it. I have sourced 4 perfect desert fresh doors from New Mexico and had them shipped all the way here. I also have all new floor pans (may or may not need those), complete stainless brake line set.
Basically, it is a great running project car at this point and will take you anywhere. In fact, get a temp tag from the DMV and drive it home! I want to keep it, but we are making a big move soon to another state and will have three other cars to move. It has a clean title, free of liens and registered to myself. I will entertain test drives for serious buyers only (show me the cash and we will go for a drive.) Otherwise, you are free to listen to it run. I have a ton of money in the car, but I know I wont get even a fraction of it back. I just want it to go to someone who will take it the rest of the way to glory. The car was originally black and I have no idea why the previous owners painted it that color blue.
All *REASONABLE* offers considered. Available evenings and weekends for viewing. Have questions or want to talk? Message me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. This vehicle is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
