Ford Granada 1978 Description

Up for sale is my 1978 Ford Granada 2-door V8 coupe. This particular Granada has 36,000 original miles. I purchased it from the estate of the second owner who was a Granada collector, as well as a member of the North Hills Historic Auto Club. It is an all original car, and does have some small dents and scratches (as to be expected from a vehicle that is almost 40 years old). However, the paint (Antique Cream in color) does shine like new after I spent days compounding it out, following it up with a good coat of wax. These Granadas are becoming hard to find especially in a 2-door V8 combo, and this one is a great cruiser to take to shows or drive daily. Some more info on the car includes:
- 5.0L 302ci V8 engine
- 3 speed automatic
- Power steering, power brakes
- Newer parts include: Battery, brake master cylinder, NOS 'Granada' gas cap, rear tires, front pads and rotors, pcv valve, fresh oil change with Motorcraft oil and Motorcraft oil filter
- Custom installed Kenwood AM/FM/CD/AUX stereo head unit w/ 2 speakers under the dash, factory AM radio is still in place in the dash
- 2 sets of original keys
- Owners manual still in glove box
- 1978 sales brochure and dealership sales comparison chart included
- 5 passenger vinyl bench seats, only one tiny rip on the driver side about a half inch long
- Underside is rust free. The car was 'Ziebart' rustproofed when new. Only one tiny pinhole on the driver side quarter panel behind the rear tire on the half inch lip on the underside of the quarter panel
- Vinyl roof isn't in terrible shape, has two spots below the window where it is lifting, but the rest of it is in great shape
- All the bright trim in great shape except for the passenger side rear wheelwell which has a dent in it
- Mileage will go up a little seeing I do drive this occasionally on clear weather days to local car shows
This Granada comes with a CLEAN PA TITLE, and the miles on the title are branded as ACTUAL MILES. It currently has an antique plate on it. Everything stated above is to the best of my knowledge. During my time with the car I have had zero issues, and it would fire right up every time. It will start right up, drive straight, and stop on a dime. I have been collecting low mile, original, and obscure cars for years and this fit in well with my collection. But it's time to move on and build a stable to park my toys, so some cars have to go seeing my new house only has a 2 car garage currently. I have sold and shipped out cars from my collection to many states near and far. (As local as three streets over, and as far as New Mexico and Oregon) Some have been used in local filming for tv shows, and I recently sold my Dukes of Hazzard Sheriff car to the folks at Graveyard Carz on the Velocity Channel.
More pictures can be taken upon request, and the vehicle can be inspected/ looked over by any potential buyer or third party inspector. The car is located in Allison Park, PA right off the PA Turnpike exit 39. I have the car listed locally too and I have the right to remove the ad if the cars sells here. As per eBay rules, I am unable to remove an ad with 12 hours or less time remaining with active bidding, so if the vehicle sells locally under that time frame I will immediately contact the highest bidder to inform them of the situation and the steps I’ll need to take to end the auction. This recently happened to me, and the only way to end the auction under 12 hours remaining, is by making the current high bidder the winner, then cancelling the transaction. I am selling the 1978 Granada AS-IS, with no warranty stated or implied. The vehicle is 39 years old, however, it operates exactly as it should and I wouldn’t be afraid to drive it anywhere. I will also work with you if you need the car shipped, but the cost is on the buyer.
After full payment is made, vehicle will need to be removed from my property within 10 days, or on the 11th day forward, a $20 per day storage fee will be charged. I only do this since I have had buyers pay for vehicles I’ve sold them, and then 5 weeks later they finally come collect their car when they ‘feel’ like it. I will work with the buyer, but at the same time I appreciate the vehicle being picked up in a timely manner so I do not have to charge a storage fee.
Bidders with a feedback of less than 2 will immediately be deleted unless you contact me first. I will only sell to the US, regardless what the ad says (ebay changed their listing format and forgot to allow users to edit certain info)
