Ford Other 1931 Description
1931 Ford 5-window Coupe. All Steel. Titled as a 1931, lean north carolina title. This is a neat traditional style hot rod built in that classic American Graffiti style. Sounds mean, ets a lots of looks and is a blast to drive. The car is yellow in color with red traditional style flames. The paint is very nice, 'd rate it an 8 out of 10. It has its normal nicks and scraps, ut shows very well. There is one spot on the trunk where it has been touched up, show it in the photos below. It still has the removable roof piece, ut it has a piece of wood in it and has been professionally sealed. Its covered and not visible from the inside. There is a small piece where the material has came untucked from the trim, hould be an easy fix for an upholstery shop. The top doesn't leak a drop. Very tight.
The motor is a freshly built 400 small block Chevrolet. Less than 1,000 miles on it. Its got a nice cam in and sounds mean. Its got a set ofKenny Duttweiler aluminum heads on it. Makes plenty of power and torque, evs quick and will send this light weight rod flying down the road! It fires up everytime you hit the switch and runs great. Its a little cold natured like you'd expect from any built engine but once it warms up it will sit and idle all day long. Its a turbo 350 automatic transmission.
The car drives out nice and straight, ike any shorter wheelbase car, ts got it quirks, ut once you get the hang of it, ts as good a driving original style suspension rod as you'll ever drive. The interior was recently done but and is very nice. The previous owner spent a ton of money getting it custom made. I didn't get a photo, ut the trunk is also done to match. The fuel cell is also in the trunk. The speedometer and fuel gauge do not work but the other three do. It has a CD player but its apparently not hooked up, aven't messed with it. They did a really good job getting the seat back and low in the car. I'm a pretty big boy but the car is comfortable for me to drive. Plenty of room to stretch out and the seat is low enough so you can see out the windshield. The car is very air tight and not noisy from the inside as far as air goes. Of course with that 400 screaming through the open pipes, ho has time for wind noise anyway?
The hood is also with the car but isn't currently on it. Can be bolted on for transportation.
