Ford Bronco 1973 Description
This 73 Bronco is one of the coolest I have ever came across as far as being untouched by multiple owners hands. The original owner who purchased it new in 1973 in San Antonio TX owned a pharmacy in Leakey TX and just used the Bronco on his deer lease. As seen in the photos, I have left it just as found other than cleaning it up, which didn't take a lot. The vehicle has been well taken care of all it's life. After owner passed away, it was sold to a close friend of the family February of this year. He was forced to sell however after owning it just a few months. In that time he drove it less than 100 miles. While he owned it, the only thing he did to the Bronco was replace all front end bushings. Other than that it is exactly as original owner left it. Even leaving the spare swinging to the side rather than the tail gate. He used this Bronco on his deer lease, not tooling up and down the streets. And while we cannot document the mileage listed, it very well could be considering he just used it hunting, and towed it there. As mentioned, we decided the Bronco should be left exactly as we found it. Whether it hurts the value or helps it, I think it's just cool. As can be seen in the photos, the Bronco still has the 70's era brush guard and even the tow bar. Owner would tow it behind his motor home to the deer lease. From what we were told that is basically the only time it was left outdoors. Also left as is are the gun racks which have been there since the vehicle was purchased, and even a small home made storage box with leather hinges and latch. All the seats are original! And they have wear and tear as can be seen in the photos. All I did was attempt to clean them up some. Other than the driver and passenger floor pans, the Bronco has absolutely no rust through or rot! I took clear photos of the rust in the floor pans. The rockers, cowl area, inner fenders have zero, or very minor surface rust in spots. The driver and passenger pans can be purchased for just $145 for the pair almost anywhere. And of course it's got those beautiful, original uncut rear fenders, which we love! I believe the lack of rust can be attributed to the very hot dry South Texas climate.
The engine, transmission and transfer all work exactly as should. All lights, gauges, and even the wipers all work correctly. It's still got the original AM radio, which works! The Bronco looks to have been repainted once by the original owner at some point of his owning it. The body is as solid as a rock, no bondo to be found. As mentioned, I have done nothing but clean the old girl up. No rattle can, no under coatings. There is really not even a dent to be found anywhere, other than some dings on one of the gas tank caps! I will also be glad to provide all the photos that anyone requests. I want buyers to see exactly what's there. While I have not sold many vehicles on ebay, I am completely honest about them and have had 100% satisfied buyers, and intend to keep it that way. So please do not hesitate to ask questions or request more photos. I am also going to do a short video of the Bronco starting and running this weekend and will post the link to the video on the listing for anyone desiring to see it. It cranks and runs perfect. You just do not find one like this every day.
You can bid with confidence on this Bronco. And I have never set a reserve that has not been met. It is in line with the fact that this is not a restored, or upgraded Bronco. It is exactly as it's owner of 44 years left it. Basically a blank canvas for it's new owner, you just do not find one like this every day. I also do not mind assisting in shipping if need be, buyer of course covers the cost of shipping. A $500 deposit is due within 48 hours of winning auction. Remainder due within 7 days of end of auction. Good luck to all and happy bidding!
