Ford F-150 1993 Description

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1993 Ford F-150 XLT 4x4 with just 125k original miles. The Ford F-150 needs no introduction. It's reputation as a rugged and reliable truck are is no secret. I would rate the exterior of this F-150 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking truck. She is finished in optional Red and White two one. The paint shows some fading from age but is acceptable for the age of the truck. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and blemishes commensurate with age and mileage. On this specific truck, you can see some rust around the fenders as well as some previous rust repair...which is common at this age. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the trim and moldings are intact. The bed shows well for it's age. All of the exterior chrome shows well, too. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory polished alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a matching set of rubber with good tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would rate the interior of this F-150 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The dash and headliner are clean, too. The carpets show well for their age and are not excessively worn. The optional cloth bench seat shows well for it's age and is comfortable. The power windows and locks work properly. The radio is original and works as it should. The climate control system also appears to be working properly. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. Pride in ownership shows throughout this truck. Mechanically, this F-150 appears to be n good running and driving condition. The 302ci V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for a nearly 25 year old truck. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. My only complaint is the tires. They are in good shape and have plenty of tread...but they are a more aggressive tread and make a bit of noise...but that's just my taste. The engine keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure. There is plenty of power on tap and there have been no idiot lights on. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts normally with no issues. She hits the road nice and straight. As with any old truck, please expect a few squeaks / rattles / noises, etc. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. The hubs are the manual locking hubs, so no issues with the auto-hubs...and the transfer case has the desirable manual lever that moves freely and easily...so no issues with the push button 4x4. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. The only other thing I can think of is I believe only the front fuel tank works...no biggie. If you're looking for a straight old truck, this 1993 F-150 deserves a hard look. The body is straight and in good condition for it's age. I took a knee and looked under it. Aside from the usual surface rust, I didn't see any rot or anything serious. She has a current PA safety and emissions inspection good through the end of November, 2017. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
