Ford F-250 1977 Description

A good workhorse no frills heavy duty truck. If you want to haul, o hunting, tc. it can do it. Comes with plumber's rack with a couple of reusable ties. Automatic C6 transmission. No A/C. Manufacture date of 12/76 at the Ford Seattle plant. Has a high output heater. It also has a hitch ball installed with a cover.

The good: Recent tune up with plugs, ap, otor, nd wires. Newer water pump & hoses. New heater core & hoses. Fan shroud repaired with sheet metal & rivets, nd flex fan installed. Radiator recently rodded out and rebuilt. Newer fuel pump which can handle the alcohol in the crap gas foisted on us in recent years. Ialso replaced the accelerator pump diaphragm in carb for the same reason. New float on fuel level sending unit (front tank). New rear plate illumination lights, ewer front brake pads. New battery and new voltage regulator. Has a Holley 2 barrel carburetor with a recent tune & an Edelbrock aluminum alloy intake manifold and aftermarket valve covers (which are in need of a wipe down- see pics). Motor is tight with good compression and does not leak. Oil was changed less than 1000 miles ago.

The items which will need attention: The headliner is starting to fall and will need to be replaced. The running lights on the dash for the speedo and gauges do not work (but, ddly enough, he lights for the headlight switch, iper switch, ear indicator on the column, nd the environmental controls do- by the way all of the gauges work fine). The truck needs a new tank selector valve and needs to have the rear tank hooked up - it is currently disconnected. I have used it with just the front fuel tank since I have had it. The seats could use a reupholster job or a good cover as well. The tires are older but have plenty of tread. Not sure if the high beam switch on the floor works as I have never used it. Turn signals work fine but the dash indicator for the right turn signal does not light up. The turn signal switch on the column does not shut off after turning left. The steering wheel needs to be removed and centered - I may do that if I have time.

Includes the original fan and a box ofother parts. I also have an air conditioning compressor unit with the clutch/pulleywhich could be installed (you will need the condenser and the heat exchanger, tc.)and will throw it in with the truck.

Though the truck is currently in California it is titled and registered in Idaho. Registration expires in June of 2016. This truck was used to haul items betweenSoCal and the Treasure Valley area. It is now in CA and needs a new home. CA bidders be aware that with the alterations to the intakeand fuel system may make it a bear to smog in your state as the truck was originally equipped with an EGR system from the factory in 1977. This truck will drive wherever you need it to, ou will just have to stop for gas every 150 miles.

Also includedare aFord manual on CD and an original factory manual supplement for the fuel and exhaust systems of various Ford Trucks including this model year.

This is a work-horse truck that can haul a heavy load, ot a beauty queen. Treat it well and it will continue to give you good years of service as it has done for me. Please feel free to ask any questions. I will not/ do not ship. It is available for pick up in Southern California. I will not end the auction early. Good luck and thanks for looking.

I forgot to mention that when I installed the water pump and hoses with the rebuilt radiator I also put in a new thermostat & gasket. The fuel filter (the one on the fuel inlet of the carb body)was replaced when I replaced the accelerator pump diaphragm. The transmission was serviced (new filter, an gasket, nd fluid) within the last7 months. The air filter is about 3 months old.

This is a solid reliable Truck. I have about $2000.00 invested, hich is greater than the reserve.
