Ford Other 1955 Description

For a number of years I've been steadily upgrading this great old school cruiser while driving on a regular basis. You will not find a nicer cleaner wagon anywhere close to my price. You will have a blast driving this baby anywhere.
Original 272 Y block engine with a nice throaty exhaust and Ford-o-matic transmission all in perfect condition...THIS IS A NUMBERS MATCHING CAR... Engine was rebuilt to original specifications 7 years ago and I've driven it approximately 20,000 miles with no issues. Car has a great rumble cruising down the road.
Engine has been serviced regularly and engine bay has been kept neat and clean. Recent itemsinclude four barrelcarband stainless throttle linkage, oil change and tune-up including valve adjustment. ENGINE COMPARTMENT IS DETAILED AND LOOKS REAL NICE
SUSPENSION REBUILTabout 4 years ago including shocks, springs and all new bushings. VERY NICE SMOOTH RIDE
POWER BRAKES were added 3 years ago improving braking tremendously and a new high amp 12v alternator was also added.
Steeringhas been completely rebuilt with the recent addition of modern POWER STEERING making car so much easier to drive. Steering wheel has cracks but does not affect driving and a steering wheel repair kit is included.
EXTERIOR was completely sanded and primed and there a ZERO dents or dings. NO BONDO and is ready for a final sanding and and painting to your choice of color. I liked the primer look so I've driven it this way for about three years.
CHASSIS was completely sanded and rust-proofed using RUST BULLET and the cars undercarriage looks great.
All trim and bright-work has been removed, professionally polished and shines like crazy. The front and rear bumpers and grill have all been replaced. Interiortrim and dash were repainted 6 years ago and have a great shine. Car has its original seat covers and door panels in good condition for their age with no rips or tears.
Original radio has been restored with the addition of FMand brand new dual coil speaker. Radio sounds and looks great!
Wagon rolls on 20 inch Incubus alloy wheels with Sumitomo 235/35zr/20 steel belted radials with lots of tread and has a great old school cruiser look going down the road. You will get an insane amount of attention and thumbs-up driving this thing and my wagon has been garage kept, covered, and well maintained for as long as I've owned it. It drives, brakes and steers better than new but it is by no means perfect. It is a great reliable driver and an easy next level project.A couple items I want to disclose.... gauge cluster and horn need to be re-connected, (when dash was painted, the gauge cluster was dis-connected), turn signals work but left signal does not cancel, and the left rear sliding glass is cracked (does not leak and has been cracked for years). Also the headliner has a couple tears but looks fine and does not sag.
In the last 4 years I have spent well over $10,000 upgrading my cars performance and appearance and have receipts to accompany vehicle. Many additional parts will be included with the car including rebuilt two-barrel carb, vent window rubber, window cranks and much more.(see photo)
RESERVE NOTE:If you have been following the the market then you know that these old wagons prices have gone through the roof and you can't even find them. My wagon is ready to enjoy immediately and is priced to sell... If reserve is met, I will include a complete set of 1956 exterior trim (The 1956 trim is much cooler than the 1955 and you will never find it anywhere) and I will also include custom alternator and air conditioning brackets made specifically for this car.
Inspections are welcomed and recommended.
A great driver that I resisted the urge to paint because everybody tells me the car is so cool like it is and leave it alone. My dogs and I have have had a blast in this car over the years and you will too....open all the windows including the back lift window, fire it up and enjoy.... ridin in 55 style!!!
