Ford Maverick 1971 Description

Here is a rare find, n original 1971 first year Maverick Grabber with virtually no cancer, riginal paint and interior. This car came from California originally and has not been on the road since 1980! The second owner did bring it to Oregon and got an OR title and plates but never installed the plates or fixed the car.
I bought this car with a bad engine and replaced it with an identical 250 six cylinder from a 1974 Comet. Now it runs and drives great. The engine has cranking pressures from 150 psi to 160 psi in all cylinders. It also has a new fuel pump, oints and condenser. The C4 automatic transmission shifts and works fine, s does the power steering. I don't see any fluid leaks under the car. The manual brakes work fine. The 215/70/14 tires have about 3/4 tread left and are in great shape. There is a spare tire in the trunk.
The paint is the original Bright Lime Green from the factory and there is NO hidden body work or bondo. It has the lightest of surface rust on the bottom of the floor boards which I'm sure could be removed with some steel wool. I don't have a car hoist but I've attached some photos of the floor and inside of the trunk (you can see the original speckle paint still intact.
Most everything works; headlights, aillights, urn signals, ipers and heater fan and even the original Philco AM radio! The horn and windshield washer still need attention.
The car is over 40 years old and is not new. There are a few minor dents and dings, he biggest ding is on the front of the hood (see photos). I have not polished or waxed the car or detailed it in any way. That's for the new owner. I have a few Mavericks and I love the cars but a can't bare to turn this original Grabber into a race car as it is too nice. Not many left in this condition.....
