From what I can tell, it has been painted red/Prairie Bronze or Champagne Beige/Caspian blue over its life.....it is now a custom Emberglo, painted by the previous owner/s (roughly 2 years ago). The DATA tag says it should be Vintage Burgundy Metallic (it is what it is) Im assuming the previous owner/s have had new 66 rear quarter panels fitted but who ever did it, have done a seamless job. The left hand trunk drop off has been replaced and the front battery tray has had a patch fitted where it meets the radiator support. The corner vent windows on the door have some slight pitting in the chrome. I would still like to get the seats re-covered just to finish it off however the ones in there are/or seem to be original but are fine....Im just being picky. Carpet/roof lining and dash pad are new. Floorpan has some lifting spots of tar/body liner but no rust is evident
Has a clean Florida title from its original owner dating back to the 80's and I purchased the car from a collector at the Turkey Rod Run in Daytona FL and he bought the car from a guy in Tallahassee. (so its done its rounds across the state of Florida for a few years) Seems it has been a project car for someone for quite some time. I cant really get any more history on the car apart from that. Ive tried to find the build sheet in all the common places but I cant find it
All the correct markings have been restored back to the under chassis to an "almost" concourse correct level with the help from K code forums etc however that is more for appeal and purely from the research I can find online. This is all new to me. Some Factory markings could possibly be incorrect depending on who you talk to but they are easily changed.
Car would need another $500-$600 spent on it in new parts to finish it up.
PARTS NEEDED, disc brake sheilds-$80/engine loom/rebuild distributor/Alternator-$89/driveshaft universal joints-$35/Lower radiator hose/ gearbox oil/differential oil/fuel filter & line/ Dual GT exhaust-$171.00
Additional new parts supplied with the car (calipers/brake pads/brake line/gearbox shifter linkages etc).
If your into concourse mustangs, I highly recommend inspecting the car prior purchase to check all matching numbers/body stampings along with distributor, inlet, exhaust, pulleys, water pump and the like as I know the inlet manifold is after market and the dual point distributor is not date incorrect. Water pump is a replacement but I do have a the correct date code 64/65 one spare (needs rebuild). Like I have mentioned, the car has been a project for a long time and not all numbers are correct. I have photographed all the pulleys/K code headers/brackets/engine etc for part numbers

One to two days and $600 in new parts should get it on the road.NO...I DO NOT HAVE THE TIME TO FINISH IT FOR YOU

$38,000 is not unrealistic asking price if the car was finished correctly but its a great start for someone who doesnt want to put in to much time or money
