Texas Classic Cars Of Dallas is proud to showcase this amazingly well restored and customized 1940 Ford Street Rod,1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe. This is a super high quality custom 40 that is all Henry Ford steel. Complete frame off restoration painted in Lipstick Red with all of the trim redone and customized for a way better looking car.The gaps are perfect and all of the trim lines up...way better than it came off the line back then! It is powered by a 5.0 Ford v8 that came out of a Mustang G, it is cooled by a Griffin radiator set up, new heaterand a AOD 4-speed automatic transmission that makes cruising and highway use easy. The rear-end is an 8-inch 355 posi rear the front is all Heidts/TCI suspension with disc brakes and with 2" drop spindles. The rear suspension has also been slightly modified and is a parallel leaf configuration with air shocks.
The car starts, drives and runs like a new car, it sure does driver better than it did in the 40s and looks a heck of a lot better too. The top has been chopped 3" which gives it a nice clean lowered effect adding to already 2" drop it has, the convertible top had to be custom fitted for this reason as well but fits snugly and looks just right. It is really an incredible 40 ready to cruise or show. The interior is absolutely gorgeous and looks brand ne, everything about this car looks like it was recently restored and it is actually a 13 year old restoration. The interior are comfortable Mercedes seats covered with bone color leather and a Mercedes wool carpet covers the floor panels.
As for the dash is has a complete makeover to the original with aftermarket VDO gauges that give a slightly modern look and for comfort it has power seats and windows but best of all it has been upgrade with vintage air a/c system for this Texas weather and it blows cold making this the type of car you can drive as a daily but show as a show car. The underbelly has been completely sprayed to match the top and looks very clean and neat for the restoration age. This car is just a head turner and has lots of time and money invested and you can see why, you will feel like this car was made for you when you get in, so dont hesitate give us a call to schedule your test drive and for more information.
