GMC Other 1971 Description

1971 GMC K1500 4x4. 4 speed manual. longbed. fleetside with Custom trim. Mostly original. Runs and drives well. Has 350 engine with aftermarket Holley carb. electric fuel pump. HEI ignition. and headers. Everything works except the windshield washer pump and radio. Engine smokes on start-up. but runs nicely. Speedo needle bounces. but odometer works. Bed wood is in poor shape. but still useable. Some rust-through in left back cab corner and underneath cab support. Small area of rust-through on top of right and left-side door sills. outside of left door. and right rear cab corner. Door bottoms. rockers. kick panel. floor boards. frame and undercarriage are clean. Some body chrome trim is missing. Body has some dents and dings. small holes. and some bondo but overall in decent shape. Rubber spring bushings are in poor shape. so suspension does make some noise. Throw out bearing squeals occasionally. Has 3. 73 gearing with original brass dial Warn locking hubs. First year for the front disc brakes with open-knuckle Dana 44. Nice dual exhaust with sturdy rear tow hitch. Interior is nice with tilt steering. Seat has large tear on driver-side area. Glass and drip rails good. Tires have good tread. New seat cover. heater hoses. spark plugs and wires. distributor cap and rotor. Included are extra parts such as doors. bumper. trim pieces. grille. etc. Truck can remain at its present location to end of April. After that. a storage fee will be assessed.
