GMC Sierra 3500 1989 Description
Crew Cab Dually, Southern truck its entire life. 454 TBI engine, Turbo 400 transmission with a Hughes RV converter installed when trans was rebuilt with Heavy Duty parts. 4:10 rear gear. Interior I think is very good for it's age. Head liner recently replaced. Excellent tread on matching Firestone Transforce tires.Truck has 201,000 miles, I've owned it for 16 years I only have driven about 5000 miles a year hauling a 28ft race car trailer in that time along with a few sailboats. Truck has been very dependable and has never left me stranded anywhere because it has always gotten serviced. I'm selling because I simply don't use this truck anymore. It can be driven anywhere as is or would make a nice truck with a paint job (paint is original and in poor shape, I guess it's called a rat rod paint scheme now) and some other small repairs. Truck has surface rust from the sun fading the paint but no rot on any of the body panels. The AC system was completely rebuilt with all new parts including hoses and converted to 134 but it must have leaked down on from not being used. The only other things that don't work are cruise control, the tailgate latch and the radio. All the gauges work and has an aftermarket trans temperature also . It has dual fuel tanks and the spliter and fuel gauge work for both tanks, Tilt wheel, power windows (work slow), power locks and swing out mirrors for pulling large trailers. Front end was completely rebuilt with bushings and ball joints. this ol'truck really drives great and will tote a loa, it has frame brackets for a gooseneck hitch or fifth wheel which I only pulled a gooseneck horse trailer one time and sold the trailer.Truck is for sale locally as well. It's an old truck, no warranty expressed or implied. Nice truck for a complete restoration/custom project
