GMC Other 1947 Description

Selling some of our Family collection to fund some other projects and restorations !

Please read title information. Motorhome was purchased as a parts or restorationvehicle and does not have a title. will come with Bill of sale only and is being sold for parts/project only.

Up for auction is this GMC motorhome. Now this thing is rare !!

We are unsure on the exact year but appears to be a 1947-1953 model based on the emblem style. We aquired this in a property purchase and has been sitting on the land for many years hidden from the public and nestled in the pine trees.

We have not been able to find anything like this with this grille style and a camper conversion on the internet. The interior appears to have been done at the some time that the Van was built. You can tell the wood on the inside is old and it was designed to be a camper. Could not find anything on the history of these.

Some of the later ones were produced by Grumman for GMC but we are not sure on this one. We could not find one like it anywhere online.

It has a pop open window or sliding window on the RH side next to where the driver would sit. There is a bed in the back with a bunk on top. It has a 2 burner stove with full counter and sink along with a closet and many drawers for storage.

The engine is a GMC inline 6 cylinder and will need to be rebuilt or replaced. The valve cover for the motor is on the floor of the motorhome.

The body looks to be really straight for a motorhome of this era. there are a few dings/dents but very minimal for its age. There are some signs of rust showing through on some of the tin panels.

The roof vent is missing on the roof so there is some water damage on the roof in that area. Also some of the floor feels soft under the pop out window and also the step up near the entry door.

This motorhome is one of the coolest vintage RV's or campers we have seen and would be one of the neatest old trucks on the road once restored.

1 trip to the car wash and over 10 people stopped to ask about it ! What a head turner !

Pictures tell a thousand words. If you have any other questions feel free to email me at anytime and we will get back to you quickly.

Please view all of the photos that we have included. There are also many other photos inserted into the description if you scroll down to the bottom. If you have any questions or need additional information on thisGMC motorhome please email us and we will get back to you within 24 hours.

we could not find any makers marks or body tags on the body of this motorhome so we were not able to find the body number on it. There is probably a frame number somewhere on this van but we are not familiar with where that would be located.

Motorhomeis being sold as is where is with no warranty expressed or implied of anykind. Van will come with a bill of sale only and no other paperwork.

Payment terms: We would prefer not to use paypal for payment on this truck. If you have no other way to pay except paypal we will accept it but prefer not to pay the PP fees if possible. Cashiers check or cash would be preferred. We are allowing 10 days for payment so that you have plenty of time to get the check in the mail. Check must clear our bank before we will release possession of the truck.

We can store thistruck on our property for up to 60 days and maybe a bit longer than 60 days to give you plenty of time to arrange transportation . If you need longer we can probably arrange that as well but would prefer that it is picked up in 60 days or less.

We are trusted ebay sellers with a long history of buying and selling things that we collect and restore. Feel confident in bidding that you are dealing with honest people !
