GMC Sierra 2500 1978 Description

This truck has hauled everything from beer to motorcycles, out ran the law and old girlfriends, raced anything that moved, climbed through mountains, brooks, and snow drifts. I've made some great memories and gone on many adventures sitting behind this wheel. Sadly, my plan to move upstate and let this baby loose has fallen through and it's time to sell, but mandid we have fun!
Originally a grounds truck for a church for 30+ years, it accrued around 1000-1500 miles per year and was well taken care of and garaged by my friend who bought it from them. It's a daily driver for me and I've taken it on so many road trips throughout the east coast and it's been nothing but reliable. I want to see this truck live up to its full potential and in the hands of someone who loves it as much as I do. Turns heads daily and I'm constantly getting tire kickers.
Brand new small block 350 that I've put less than 1000 miles on since I put it in. The last motor had a nasty leak and a friend borrowed it to go upstate and seized it up on me
Approximately 75-80k miles on the rest of the truck
Brand new battery
Super 400 Automatic transmission
4WD works great although I've never needed it (even in heavy snow)
New brakes/pads
Fresh oil/fluids
Changed and treated front and rear differential axle oil
3" Body lift with 33" interco TrXuS all terrain tires with about 85-90% tread
Custom Hunter Green paint (only a few minor scratches) no rust on the body or frame. One hole in the driver wheel well
Bucket seats currently installed but I also have the original bench seat
Extra parts- stainless diamond plate rear bumper and hardware, mirrors, window handles, etc
The truck is in great condition but keep in mind it is 40 years old. I drive it every day and have zero issues. No rust except one minor hole in the wheel well. Minor scratches. May want to change out leaf springs look into the suspension in the next few years. Mechanical 85% interior 85% exterior 90% complete.
