GMC 100 1959 Description

1959 GMC Truck. Short bed. Stepside 100. ( one owner )
This Truck was discovered in a Texas Barn, last registered in 1974. This is a ONE OWNER truck and I have the Original 1959 Texas Title form the Texas Dept of Transportation. It was last registered in 1974 and I have the plate. I have the original key. The odometer reads 42,000 miles and that is probably correct. All the old stickers remain, even the old service stickers on the door sill. Several years of old state tags are still in the glove box.
There is not a single part, piece, or emblem missing from what I can see. The dash lights and guages work. Has all the glass but the windshield has been shot with a BB Gun on the driver side. I have owned the truck for one year and have done a small amount of work to it. I removed the 260 straight six and did a V8 swap with a 283, 2 speed PG from a Chevelle. Engine and transmission are good. I had the original gas tank cleaned. (unfortunately I no longer have the 260). The breaks drums have been rebuilt. The motor has brand new SS headers, water pump, chrome fuel pump, and HEI Ignition. Also come with a rear lowering kit. New wood cut for the bed.
All the paint and patina is original and looks awesome. There is some rust as expected but the floor is extremely solid and looks almost in new condition. The frame is very solid and for the most part, rust free. The GMC model of the Apache style trucks are very desirable. This would make an awesome Rat Rod, Street Rod, or Shop Truck.
This is a project. A 1959 time capsule. Please review each pictures carefully before asking questions. The motor runs, but is not currently running in the truck. It came out of my 1967 Chevelle that I did use as a daily driver with 83,000 miles on it when pulled. The engine is bone stock. Transmission shifted good.
It would be difficult to find a more complete, one owner, original truck this solid, at this price. Thanks for looking.***************************************************************************
