GMC Sierra 1500 1978 Description

I'm selling my 1978 GMC High Sierra Roadster Pickup body. I removed the engine and transmission, so I am selling all of the rest. The body is in excellent condition. There is no rust on this truck. The speedometer is original, as is the pickup, and it only shows 55,603 miles. I know a lot of you may not like the chopped top, but there is a lot of potential here for someone who wants to build a cool pickup.
Not only is there a lot of good quality parts here, but there also is a full air ride system under the truck that was built just for this truck. The truck was built 25 years ago for the reason of the air ride system. The bed of this truck is in excellent shape. The floor is all oak. A lot of hand custom things have been done to this truck, such as the bumpers and the special paint. All the parts that you see in this truck are in excellent shape. There is also the original 8 track factory radio, and it does work.
When someone is building a truck of this nature, you are going to need a lot of parts. With the purchase of this truck, you are getting every part you need. Everything is like brand new. If someone had just the cab, you could put it in there and have the coolest truck. The costs of body work and paint and fabrication and assembly of rebuilding a truck are sky rocketing. I have pulled the motor and am leaving behind a complete aluminum radiator, the power steering pump, and the alternator and bracket.
By purchasing this truck, you would be saving a lot of time and money.
I hope someone can see the potential in purchasing this truck. I need to get rid of this truck because I have no room to keep it.
