This is the age old story. I have a 6 month old daughter. my insurance didn't cover what I thought it would. and need to sell the truck. I have a 1951 GMC model 350 2 Ton flat bed truck with a 248 strait 6 engine in it. The original engine blew a piston rod and so I bought a good running engine out of a 1955 suburban to swap out with. The 55 248 differed a little from the 51. so I had to upgrade from 6 to 12 volt in the engine compartment. Everything under the dash is still 6 volt. I switched to a key start instead of the foot start because the new engine needed this conversion. I have the original engine and all the parts needed to put the truck back to completely stock. I was just about finished when my daughter was born but it has been sitting untouched for the last 6 months. The only left to do to make her drivable is to install the new clutch. which I have.
