GMC Syclone 1991 Description

1991 GMC SYCLONE AWD PICKUP
Up for sale is our personal Syclone with 47K miles. It is in great pre-owned condition with the only notable blemish being some minor scratches in the bed (see photos). The exhaust system has been upgraded with a Flowmaster system and the stereo has been replaced with a Kenwood unit. There are no issues with this vehicle, t looks and runs great. We have a clear title ready for transfer to the new owner. Our shop is located just off I-79 near Fairmont WV and can easily accommodate any size truck or trailer. I have copied some technical information below and there is a very interesting Jay Leno video on YouTube about his personal Syclone. It is a 10 minute video and is very informative if you want to take the time to check it out. He purchased one immediately after the Car & Driver article comparing the acceleration of the Syclone to the Ferrari 348ts. The Syclone was timed at 4.3 seconds 0 to 60 and 13.6 seconds in the 1/4 mile. That was quicker than the Ferrari 348ts and an Acura NSX 5.0
If you are new to eBay or have 0 feedbacks please contact us before bidding. We listed this vehicle last September and the auction was ruined by a bidder that was just playing games and had no intention of completing the sale.
The GMC Syclone is a high-performance version of the GMC Sonoma pickup truck. Produced in 1991 by GMC, he Syclone spawned the similarly powered 1992-1993 GMC Typhoon SUV.

At the time it was introduced, he Syclone was the quickest stock pickup truck being produced in the world. Auto magazines compared its acceleration favorably to a variety of sports cars including the Corvette and - in a memorable comparison test in Car and Driver magazine - a Ferrari.[2] Featuring a turbocharged 6-cylinder engine, ll wheel drive, nd 4 wheel anti-lock brakes, he specifications had more in common with a Porsche than most other pickup trucks.

Both the Syclone and Typhoon trucks featured a Mitsubishi TD06-17C 8cm² turbocharger[1] and Garrett water/air intercooler attached to a 4.3 L LB4 V6 engine with unique pistons, ain caps, ead gaskets, a rel="rel nofollow">intake manifolds, uel system, a rel="rel nofollow">exhaust manifolds, nd a 48mm twin bore throttle body from the 5.7 L GM Small-Block engine. All Syclones and Typhoons had a GM 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission.
