GMC G25 Van 1973 Description

1973 GMC Rally STX 125" wheelbase 3/4 ton van. I am the second owner the original owner passed away and I got it from the family. It was garaged all it's life until 2003. Only used for their family vacations it has 120000 miles on it. My limited research also shows low production numbers in comparison to the Chevys. It has a 350 chevy V8 with a turbo 350 automatic transmission. It runs and drives great. I drove it from Oklahoma City to Fort Worth Texas with no issues. It has factory AC that needs to be charged according to the original owner. It also has a 12 bolt Posi rear end and receiver hitch. It has the heavy duty tow package which includes a transmission cooler. The rear tires are brand new and the fronts are almost new with at least 90% tread. I've been driving it daily to work while it's still cool out. It has been well cared for with many receipts and documentation. It had a timing gear and chain as well as a conversion to HEI distributor at 116000 miles. Since I've had it I've put on a new alternator and belt new master cylinder and new battery. There are a couple of surface rust spots around the windows where water leaked in and there is a small spot in the left rear quarter. It's very solid though 99% rust free. It has dent in the rear bumper and a few other minor dents dings and scratches but in great shape for a 42 year old van. If you live in the DFW area you are welcome to contact me to look at it or drive it in person. It really is a good driving old van. I might need front shocks at some point but it's not critical. I have also replaced several rubber fuel hoses that were aged beyond my liking. In doing that I got a great look at the underside and it is very solid! To make this van perfect it would need some rubber weatherstrip around some of the windows replaced as well as the A/C needs to be charged and the radio does not work.
