GMC Other 1967 Description

1967 GMC G-20 Handy-Bus Van with pop up camper. This is the larger version of the two vans (G10 being its smaller counterpart)

with the ¾ ton Chassis and longer wheel base. the body also has the larger side windows to accommodate its size.

6 doors and 13 windows 4 of them have louvered or sliding windows with screens. Auto lowering step when door opens California style side view mirrors

Kitchenette with sink built in closet cabinets and storage throughout including the side of the van. Newer floors newer upholstery new stain and paint in the bedding and kitchen area.

Pop up does not leak and a 6 ft. person can stand up and move around in the back portion. Seats 6 in the rear 2 in the front sleeps 2 (or 3 with 1 child)

The front cab of the van does need some help upholstery is ripped on the butt portion and no radio wood headliner is newer

Stove and storage cooler come with the van but not original to it. cooler doesn’t work just used to keep food and drink cold. Heater did work but is disconnected.

Motor

V8 175hp 283 cu in (4.64 L) 2-barrel

“3 on the Tree” manual transmission with tight clutch

I have owned the van for 4 years and never rebuilt either motor or trans just regular maintenance since no issues were ever found. Van runs and shifts smoothly with no issues

since it is a 3 speed it starts redlining at 60-65 MPH on the hwy

New brakes newer tires and motor just had a deep cleaning and fresh paint by my mechanic who is also sad to see this one go.

Body

The body is straight with no dents or dings or dents larger than 2” the paint (could be original) is not in great shape and there is rust (cancer) around some windows bumpers and below the heater vent.

No rust underneath the van and not enough rust to actually have it cut out.

Black decal on front shown in pictures is a magnet and will be removed.

I only have two of the four hubcaps which are shown in photos not hard to find other two.
