GMC C10 1969 Description
We have quite a few awesome early Chevy pickups in our inventory, ut this 1969 GMC is a rarity. With a very stout 350 V8, 4-speed gearbox, nd a full-blown, xtensive restoration, his beautiful pickup is for the guy who wants to stand out from the crowd.I'm quite fond of the slick black paint job. There's nothing to hide, s this has always been a rust-free southern truck, nd you just can't disguise inferior workmanship when you are spraying black paint. It can be sporty or utilitarian, nd on this truck, t is perfectly vintage as well. Accented by a shiny stripe of trim running down its flanks, his is exactly the kind of truck you've admired at shows, ot because it was flashy but rather because it was so well done. Of course, hat isn't factory paint, nd the body has been refinished to standards that probably would have stunned guys who bought these as working machines, ecause it's almost too nice to be a truck anymore. Take a look at those gaps and how well everything fits, nd the doors close effortlessly and flush, kin to a modern truck. The bed shows no signs of heavy use, nd comes with a fresh spray-in bedliner so it's ready to do your weekend hauling (or not, ecause it's just so fresh). Bright chrome bumpers, win tailpipes peeking out from underneath, nd that GMC grille augmented with extra billet chrome make this a truck whose subtlety will win you over. The interior has been restored and largely sticks to the factory recipe with a black bench seat, lack door panels, nd one of the most attractive truck dashboards ever designed. New black carpets, resh paint on the dash, nd an array of factory gauges, ncluding a rare tachometer, ake this truck easy to love. Of course, here's also a pair of auxiliary dials underneath, nd they're a lot more accurate than the originals and are therefore better for keeping an eye on the warmed over V8 up front. A modern three-spoke steering wheel with a leather wrapper replaces the big plastic original, et it seems to work in the dressy-looking GMC's passenger compartment. And yes, hat's a Hurst 4-speed shifter on the floor, hich changes the truck's personality in a big way. You also get a Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo that sounds great thanks to new door speakers and a lot of sound deadening materials used throughout the interior. The engine is a professionally built (a mere 150 miles ago), trong-running, orquey 350 cubic inch V8 that's been detailed to look right under the hood. Wearing traditional Chevy Orange paint, set of finned Edelbrock valve covers, nd a big 4-barrel carburetor, t definitely makes big power, nd thanks to the lopey camshaft and throaty dual exhaust with long-tube headers and Flowmasters, t sounds like the muscle truck that it is. A big radiator up front keeps it cool under just about any conditions and the shiny black firewall and inner fenders make a great background. It is incredibly clean underneath, oo, ith a super straight and treated frame, olid floors, nd all the original equipment intact. The aforementioned 4-speed manual transmission feeds a sturdy 12-bolt rear end hanging on heavy-duty leaf springs, o you can still put it to work if you want to. Bright chrome wheels sparkle against the black paint and carry fat 275/60/15 BFGoodrich T/A radials all around. This unusual, andsome, nd surprisingly potent pickup is as practical as it is fun. It's also every bit as nice as it looks in photos and comes with restoration receipts to back it up. This beauty won't last long. Call today!
