GMC Sierra 1500 1992 Description
Hello, or sale is my stock looking, leeper 1992 GMC Sierra extended cab pickup that I've owned since about 1998. It was purchased from the original owner with about 78k on it. It has almost 189,325on it now . A few years ago, decided to do an engine swap on it and ended up with this set up. All of the fabrication/swap work was carried out by Brint B. just outside of Atlanta. He does excellent work and i think this truck shows it.It has an Lq4 6.0 with a 4l80e transmission. The lq4 has a stock bottom end with ARP rod bolts. The stock heads have been CNC ported and polished by Advanced Induction in Concord NC. They also bumped compression to 10.5 and supplied custom spec cam (mild lope). The motor was reassembled with ARP head bolts. The 4l80e transmission has been rebuilt and mildly tweaked less than 7 thousand miles ago by ATC auto center. ATC is well known for exceptional work in the Augusta area. Also installed is a Circle D billet 3k torque converter. The rear end has a Detroit trutrac and 373 gears.
Exhaust system is a full custom, andrel bent dual 3" system with v-band clamps for quick removal, f needed. Schoenfeld LS truck headers as well as a Magnaflow muffler. Dual exit out of right rear maintains a stealth look.
This lq4 is from a 2004 Silverado 2500 HD and includes the complete fly by wire throttle system and factory ecu. The cruise control system works. Air conditioning is installed and works nicely with a then new compressor. All instrument gauges work properly. Clutch fan was removed and electric fans were installed while maintaining the stock fan shroud. A new radiator was also installed. This truck runs cool even in Augusta's 100+ degree summers. All wiring was meticulously carried out and looks very tidy.
Injected engineering in Kennesaw Ga. handled the ecu tuning. Generally, he truck runs great. Cold mornings under 40 degrees, owever, equire a minute or so warm up before getting underway.. After that, t's all good. Premium fuel is also required. The trucks fuel system has a high flow pump installed. Included as well is a hidden nitrous system that is jetted for 100 hp. I used this system only a few times but i can confirm it adds a nice kick. The system includes a rpm window switch, ottle heater and purge system.
Brakes are stock with the exception of removing the rear abs system and stainless brake hoses replacing the former rubber lines. These modifications helped with the soft pedal most of these trucks experience.
The suspension is stock.
As for the condition of the rest of the truck. It has never been wrecked, owever, t was repainted under warranty way back in the day and it is now blistered and peeling in a few spots. I like the sleeper look so i never opted to repaint it and make it look all shiny. Being a Georgia truck, o next expect to find any of the mega rust that is common in trucks from up North. The interior is in nice condition. A few small cracks on top of dash. Never smoked in. No excessive wear to be found inside. The truck has a sliding power rear window but only one side is working... Even with that issue, t still lets in a ton of air and makes itself worthy to remain. The stereo is an Alpine head unit, ockford fosgate amp and 10" sub hidden under rear seat in custom box. Kenwood 4x6 are in the four factory locations. All in all, ot a bad sounding little system. Also has a Keyless entry security system installed. The BFG tires have plenty of tread. Outdoor truck cover and tool box will be included. Thanks for looking and please email me with any questions or for additional info.
