GMC Other 1972 Description

1972 GMC Sierra-Grande pickup truck
Solid as a rock this GMC has been my daily driver for the past 8 years. Trying to keep the look as original as possible has always been the goal. Located in Portland, R this truck has been featured on a couple of movie sets as well as some national commercials. Once you own this truck you'll probably get asked to sell it every time you go to the hardware store.
The body was refinished in the original Two-tone Hugger Orange and has been well cared for. The interior is orange and cream and features a reupholstered houndstooth/vinyl bench seat and carpeting that are in very good condition. With Stainless bed rails this truck has a great stance and very nice chrome. You can listen to your favorite tunes on the AM/FM/CD player or through the optional ipod jack in the glove box.

FEATURES:
1/2 ton 350 V-8 Turbo Hydra-matic automatic with 188,525 miles (engine rebuilt)
Tilt "comfort power steering"
Front shock absorbers
Front Stabilizers
Heavy front/rear springs
Rear suspension
Cheyenne Super equip
Parchment Trim
Gas tank located behind seat (no saddle bags)
In addition to the new paint this GMC comes with these nice-to-have add-ons:
Power windows (window crank acts and the switch so it still looks stock)
Keyless entry (Locks/unlocks with a key fob)
Intermittent wipers (Replaces the old 2-stage wipers)
3-point Seat belts (safety first!)
This GMC pickup goes down the road with ease and it's a great cruiser! There is still a lot of fun left in this beautiful truck!
A little history on the GMC Sierra Grande:
The GMC Truck nameplate dates back to 1912. Coincidentally, MC precedes Chevy as the original truck brand within the GM lineup. In 1972 GMC used 1500 to designate the ½ ton 2-wheel drive light duty trucks and the Sierra Grande trim level was a top-line trim package. 1972 was the first year that GMC began fastening the rear view mirror to the windshield versus bolted elsewhere, nstalled a standard passenger door side-view mirror, nd utilized the patented collapsible steering column. This was also the last year of the GMC line to feature the round quad lamp headlamp design versus the round twin lamp Chevrolet style. Later models shared the twin headlamp design.
