GMC Other 1951 Description

Up for sale is my 1951 GMC Truckster Rat Truck. The frame is custom built from a 1980 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. The powertrain is
from a 1975 Ford F100 390 engine C6 transmission and shortened driveshaft. The carbuerator is changed to a Carter AFB 600
cfm from the original holley. Exhaust is custom roadster/sprint style headers with glasspacks. The differential is a GM 14
bolt full floater from a 1977 1 ton truck...the rear cover is a piece of oil pipeline with FWD trans cover for a
quickchange type look. Gears are 3.73 open. Front wheels are 15X5.25 Cragar SS and the rears are custom 15X14 steel with
powdercoat and 33X22.5 Hoosier Quicktime DOT tires. Stock gas tank inside truck with aluminum 11 gal on outside frame,
also functional. Front brakes are discs from 1987 Econoline van with hydroboost brake assist from 1977 Cadillac. Stock
guages installed but not hooked up, Auxillary tach, fuel & temps guages installed and functional. Shifter is B&M
Megashifter. This truck was constructed by myself from 2007 to 2009. This is the start of my sixth year driving it and it
has been extremely reliable. It steers very well due to strong staight frame and rack & pinion steering. It can ride a
little rough on crap roads but that is due to the heavy differential and tires on a relatively light body. truck weight is
3440 with 1/2 tank gas. That is the price to pay for the cool look, but for a rat is drives real great, and it steers way
better than any original 51 truck did.
The truck is fully plated with antique plates and I drive it regularily. Any questions please ask.
