GMC Other 1952 Description

UP FOR SALE, A 1952 GMC 3/4 TON PICKUP. IT HAS THE SAME BODY AND LOOK OF A 1/2 TON, STRONG FRAME, BIGGER REAR END. THE TRUCK HAS BEEN IN STORAGE IN RHODE ISLAND SINCE THE 80'S, CURRENTLY IN MA. I WAS TOLD BY THE OWNER THAT THE ENGINE HAD BEEN REBUILT PRYOR TO STORAGE, HE SAID PAPERWORK ON REBUILT HAD BEEN LOST OVER THE YEARS. IF YOU LOOK AT THE ENGINE, IT APPEARS IT WAS DONE, BUT I HAVE NO PAPERWORK TO PROVE IT. THE FUEL PUMP AND FUEL TANK WERE NO GOOD, SO I HAVE A NOS FUEL PUMP THAT NEEDS TO BE INSTALLED THAT WILL GO WITH SALE. I ALSO HAVE A REPLACEMENT GAS TANK THAT IS IN PLACE, BE NEEDS TO BE HOOKED UP. MY MECHANIC BYPASSED THE FUEL SYSTEM, PUT A ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP IN AND GOT THE ENGINE TO START. I ALSO HAVE ANOTHER "ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION" THAT WILL GO WITH THE SALE. YOU CAN USE THEM FOR PARTS, OR RESELL THEM TO HELP OFFSET COST OF TRUCK. THE FRAME ON THE TRUCK IS IN DECENT CONDITION FOR IT'S AGE. THE BODY ON THE TRUCK HAS DINGS,DENTS, SCRATCHES, AND RUST, IN OTHER WORDS, IT NEEDS A LOT OF T.L.C.. THE FLOORS IN THE CAB HAVE BEEN PATCHED, WILL NEED FURTHER RESTORATION TO MAKE IT RIGHT. SOME OF THE GLASS IS CRACKED, AND FOR WHATEVER REASON, SOME PLEXY GLASS WAS INSTALLED. I DO HAVE SOME REPLACEMENT GLASS, IT'S ALL FLAT GLASS THAT IS CHEAP TO PURCHASE AND INSTALL. I REPLACED THE TIRES WITH WIDE WHITEWALLS THAT ARE IN GOOD SHAPE AND LOOK NICE ON THE TRUCK. I PUT TWO NEW REAR VIEW MIRRORS ON THE TRUCK. THE INTERIOR ON THE TRUCK LOOKS GOOD, BUT DOES NEED FURTHER RESTORATION. I PUT A REPLACEMENT MULTI -GAUGE IN DASH, AND PUT A NEW DIRECTIONAL SWITCH IN, BOTH NEED TO BE CONNECTED. YOU WILL NEED A SPEEDOMETER. EXCEPT FOR 2 SMALL BURNS ON BENCH SEAT, IT IS IN GOOD SHAPE. I PUT IN NEW DOOR PANELS AND HANDLES. I SPENT A COUPLE OF HUNDRED DOLLARS ON A CUSTOM FLOOR MAT THAT LOOKS GREAT IN TRUCK. THE TRUCK NEEDS THE MASTER CYLINDER REBUILT. THE HOOD CLOSES, BUT A BOLT IS NEEDED ON HINGE TO CLOSE PROPERLY. (NEVER GOT TO IT). I PUT A NEW OAK RAILS ON BED, LOOKS NICE. I DO HAVE SOME SPARE PARTS THAT ALSO WILL GO WITH SALE. THIS IS A GREAT FATHER/SON/DAUGHTER PROJECT TRUCK. ONE OF THE GOOD THINGS ABOUT THESE TRUCKS IS JUST ABOUT ALL ENGINE AND BODY PARTS A EASY TO FIND AT A REASONABLE COST. KEEP IT ORIGINAL OR YOU CAN TURN IT INTO A RAT ROD. BECAUSE OF THE TRUCKS AGE, NO PAPER TITLE WAS EVER ISSUED TO VEHICLE. I HAVE SEVERAL REGISTRATIONS, AND A BILL OF SALE. SOME TEMPORARY FIXES WERE DONE TO SHOW POTENTIAL OF TRUCK. A $500 DEPOSIT TO PAYPAL MUST BE MADE WITHIN 3 DAYS OF PURCHASE. THE BALANCE MUST BE BY POSTAL CHECK, OR BY BANK WIRE TRANSFER WITHIN 5 DAYS OF PURCHASE. BUYER RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL SHIPPING AND HANDLING COSTS.
