GMC 1st Series GMC 100 1955 Description

(Pictures on Bottom)GMC 1955 1st series 100 1/2 ton . Engine: 301 straight 6 cylinder (Rare engine type, not a common engine size). Sealed rear end 4 speed transmission.Model: 1st Series body style, with tire rack, and Has 5 windows (Rare Model).Body style: Step side bed. 6 foot bed.Rebuilt engine. Less than 500 miles driven, so it's not even broken in yet. The truck currently runs but could use some TLC. Has a new electric fuel pump. New battery less than a month old. A 12 volt system.
The turn signals and tail lights worked last year. Then the light switch went out. We put in a new turn signal light switch and for some reason only the front head lights and turn signal lights work, but only as a park light. Dome light does not turn on (may need a new bulb), but the dashboard lights work.Rebuilt brake master cyclinder.Has original battery box under floor if you want to use it.
Was inside for 15 years. Was only outside for this last year. I purchased this originally in Missouri and have a Clear Idaho title in hand, and it is currently registered.Has chips in the paint, so a new paint job would make it ideal to become your dream truck.Took a picture with one of the other tires so you can see what it looks like with a spare tire, but it does not come with a spare tire currently.Has good floor boards. Check out the underneath photos which document the detail and extent to which the frame is rust-free.Interior in really great shape. Leather seats are superb!Needs a new front window because it does have some cracks in it. All the rest of the windows are in great shape. I would put in a new front window, but being retired and 86 years old I don't have the energy to do it now. Classic industries 714-847-6887 sells these types of windows for a very reasonable price. The doors need a slight adjustment to close easier which happens with a lot of older vehicles.I am happy to work with out of area parties to accommodate inspections or test drives. I will gladly do anything I can to effect an easy transaction for the buyer.
