Jeep CJ 1976 Description

The Willys Jeep is the civilian version of the Willys military Jeep of World War II. The first Willys CJ prototype (the CJ-2) was introduced in 1944, nd the same basic vehicle remained in production through seven variants and three corporate parents through 1986 when production of the Jeep model was officially ended. The CJ-5 has the distinct honor of being a vehicle that was hard to kill off... equaling the longest production run of note. The many changes during this exceptionally long production run (e.g. location of the gas tank in 1971, nd frame length and width changes in 1976. In 1972, MC's 304 cu in (5.0 L) V8 engine became available which upgraded the power to weight ratio making the CJ somewhat of an V8 muscle car.

This particular vehicle benefited from a total body off ground up restoration 5 years ago. As you can see it is one very cool CJ with just the right stance and all the right bells and whistles. Always garaged and In need of not a thing. Body is in great shape with not rust, hips or anything. The diamond plate is welded into the body all around and makes for a very unique feature. Beyond the obvious you have a 304 / 3 speed drivetrain that is running great and working perfectly. Power steering and power disc brakes, nice update. Dual side-pipe exhaust, i Lift off-road jack with custom spare tire carrier. Killer stereo with rear sub and front lower and upper channel. American Racing Baja 15x10 wheels with Toyo Open Country 35" Tires. BDS 2.5" spring lift with heavy duty shackles. Corbeau racing seats with full 5 point belts. Over $45,000 invested in this truck.
