Jeep CJ 1980 Description

You are bidding on our family project 1980 CJ5I purchased this jeep from a little old man that enhrited it from his father, the original owner. Title had not changed hands making us the second owners. The jeep had been kept in the California desert and worked around the property. So no salt air and very little rain, just sand and dirt. The jeep was stripped, primered and painted with aircraft 2 stage root beer and over a gallon of Omni clear coat with two different flakes. The hard top and doors are done in aircraft semigloss cream single stage. This is a rare find as it was originally ordered as a loaded Jeep from the dealer, metal top, doors with roll up windows, stereo and speakers (speaker pods still there, stereo gone) tilt wheel and a 4 speed manual.I had interior removed, stripped and re painted and foamed before upholstery.I had visors and grab handle sent out to match. We put on some take off BFG's on painted steel wheels while waiting on new tires (not included)When it came time to do the mechanical work we basically replaced almost every system around the block. Radiator, hoses, belts, water and fuel pump, new car, replaced old ignition with High performance MSD, wires, battery Alternator etc etc etc.As you can gather, we love our little jeep and want to see it go to a good home.
Now.... I have a great eBay rating because I tell the bad with the good. There is a small dent in the hardtop window frameThere are also a few burn marks from where my detail guy color sanded too deep. That's about it. I drive this little jeep almost daily on freeways and all around. Not concerned about reliability. That being said, I am paying to post it here to sell it and therefore require a non refundable deposit of $500 within 24 hours of auction close. Payment in full within 48 hours of auction close. I will gladly keep it inside my hanger at Hemet airport in CA for 7 days while you arrange pick up. But... If you win theBid and then your wife finds out that you purchased this without permission and your not allowed to pay the balance, I will spend your $500 deposit on junk food and booze, possibly even gamble it away. So pretty please, get your wife's permission before bidding
Thank you
