Jeep Commando 1971 Description
Clean super nice Jeepster ! All original V6 225 odd fire, speed manual. For use now as a daily driver or to restore to show quality like new. As a professional restorer for more than 40 years I searched the country for 3 years to find this clean one. Every one I drove or flew to was in my opinion jun, and not worth my time. I was going to bring it to new showroom condition, ut there are just to many projects to complete, nd so I have decided to sell it. If you have been looking for a nice one, please look closely at this one. There is a very small amount of filler in the outside rockers, othing that could not be sorted out in short time. The inner rocker boxes are clean and near perfect. The floors have had a piece of sheet metal over layed and are in very good shape. I inspected the under side of the floors and the original floors would need minimal work to be back to OEM. One of the niceparts of the Commando body is that most all the panels can be made in a reg. sheet metal brake .But for now, r as a daily driver the floors are very good. The rear gates on all Jeepsters are a problem, his one is super nice! I drove it about 1200 miles home, id not use any oil and not a single problem. The odd fire V6 engines sound a little rough at idle, ut this is the good engine with the much stronger bottom end. Very brisk and strong driver. This Jeepster has been stored indoors for about 14 years. This is of course a older Jeep, nd there are many imperfections, eats front are good, ear the cover has a large split, vent window chrome leaver is loose, nd I am sure there are many other imperfections. I have installed a new NAPA fuel pump just in case the buyer drives it home. MONTANA title .Any questions call or E mail Steve 406 224 0700On Aug-30-15 at 14:39:33 PDT, eller added the following information:Added info, ear of headliner in hanging down, the filler in the outer rockers is starting to swell, hrome wheels have rust showing in the seams. I have made no attempt to clean them because I was going to replace them with the originals. a tow hitch was added by someon, but can be removed without frame damage. Bottoms of doors and toe kick panels are in great condition. (see photos)This is the first thing I look for after the floors. PLEASE CALL OR ASK FOR MORE INFO OR PHOTOS ABOUT ANYCONDITION QUESTION, I WANT YOU TO KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GETTIN, AND BE HAPPY WITH THE SALE !
