Jeep CJ 1983 Description
What I have is an unmolested 1983 Cj 7 renegade. Original Olympic white paint on exterior with factory original renegade graphics. Black denim interior. rear seat is original but front seats were replaced at some point. 97k actual miles. 4. 2l 258 straight 6 cylinder. T4 four speed manual transmission with a dana 300 transfercase. Power steering with manual brakes. Jeep has the original Garnett factory jeep soft top that original owner said had never been off of the jeep. Has new set of all terrain Nexen Roadian AT 235/75/15 with less than 500 miles on them. Jeep has a new fuel pump. recently rebuilt fuel pump. and a new muffler. Everything on the jeep works as it should. even the underhood light works! Jeep was parked in a garage by original owner in 2003. Was bought this spring off original owner and made road worth again. Very neat and original jeep. Drives very tight. no rattles. Jeep is not perfect but is very solid. Does have a few areas on exterior where the paint has bubbled off. but nothing past surface rust. no rot though. The top is the original jeep equipment top. It fared very well but when jeep was parked in 2003 it was done so with the driver side window down. Previous owner went to put it up when it was cold one morning and the plastic window portion cracked. Zipper around back windo works. but had seperated from the top in a few places. still seals up nicely though. Interior of jeep is equally as clean. Has areas as well that paint has bubbled off. Only holes are in driver side floorpan. They were not known about until carpet that had been in it since new was removed. Would be an easy fix or would work as is. I did my best to get pictures of any area of concern. There is no rust in the frame. and only rust hole in tub is in driver pan as stated above. Smaller then a quarter in size. Jeep runs and drives great. Jeep has a new valve cover gasket but is still using the original plastic valve cover. That being said when parked after driving it likes to mark its territory with a little oil from off the valve cover. about like they all do. Overall a very nice jeep. like I had said before it's not perfect but it's very solid. Hard to find them like this anymore. Please let me know if there is anyway I can help. Vehicle is sold as is where is. Cash in person.
