Jeep CJ 1979 Description

I am selling my 1979 Jeep CJ7. It is in excellent shape. The engine is the bullet proof 258 ci straight 6. It runs great does not smoke and runs very quiet. Just about everything that can be replaced on the engine has been: starter distributer alternator fuel pump belts new 2 barrel carb and new head. I would not hesitate to take this jeep anywhere. It always starts right up on the first turn of the key. The transmission is a manual 3 speed T150. It is also in excellent shape. It shifts perfectly. Four wheel drive also works great. I bought this from a guy that had owned it a long time and used it as a second vehicle to run around town in with his kids. He lived in the city and seldom took it off road. He bought it from his friend who was the original owner. His friend had performed a body off restoration about 17 years ago. The body is very straight and the paint still has a pretty good shine but it does have a few scratches and areas that have been touched up. It was repainted in the original color “Arrowhead Silver”. The hood has a scratch on the passenger side that was touched up and there is one on the side under “JEEP” that was touched up. But overall the jeep looks really good. It would be an excellent driver. Underneath the jeep is very clean and you can see where everything was painted but has faded due to age and driving. The jeep has no rust. The front seats are covered with new black seat covers. The back seat is in excellent shape. All of the glass is in excellent shape. The windshield is new. The brakes work great the front are disc and the back are drum. The jeep has power steering and is tight and steers good down the road. The steering shaft bearings have been replaced upper and lower. The tires are 30 inch Goodyear Wranglers and could use replacing. The tread is decent but the tires are getting old. All of the gauges work except the fuel gauge. It has a new fuel tank and sending unit but needs a gauge. The radiator is new and the engine runs at the normal operating temperature about 190. The dash and door panels are in great shape. The windshield wipers and heater works. The radio/ cd works. The hardtop is in excellent shape and the hard doors fit great and close easily. The shocks and springs have been replaced. The spring are 1 inch higher than stock so 31 inch tires can fit. The pictures are very accurate as far as how the jeep looks in person. It is a really good looking extremely clean jeep. The odometer reads 46000 but I am not sure of the exact mileage. The Arkansas title is open and is in the previous owner’s name. It has been signed by the seller and the buyer’s spot is still open. This is an excellent jeep and I think whoever wins the auction will be very pleased. If you have any questions or need to see more pictures of the jeep please call me or send me an email. I see myself as a jeep advocate and I hope the person that wins the auction will be as happy with the jeep as myself. I will sell overseas but must have a cashier’s check from an American bank. If you have “0” transactions on Ebay please call me before bidding. I must have a $500 deposit paid though PayPal as soon as the auction ends. If you plan to bid on the jeep please make sure you have a PayPal account. My phone number is 501-804-5654. I have a few videos of the jeep on Youtube.
