Jeep Wagoneer 1985 Description

it is time to downsize. and my beloved 1985 Jeep Grand Wagoneer needs a good home. This has been my normal Driver for a while. and it gets plenty of attention around town. 1985 Grand Wagoneers are rare. and you will notice the dash. and the grill are different from the 86-91's. it still has all the options in it. so if you want a 6 passenger 4wd. leather. power everything vehicle. that is a classic and turns heads. nbsp; then this is for you. Please take a close look at the pictures. and read ad. I am trying to represent this jeep as honestly as I can and I encourage questions. Do not let the mileage bother you. nbsp; this Jeep drives great. and starts right up. the paint shines. and it is not rusted. It spent most of it's life not in a rust belt. The frame is great shape. and it is ready to go. This is not a Wagonmaster Jeep. nbsp; but it is in great shape. and is ready to go. almost everything works as it should:Pro's:Not rusty at all. Paint is recent. and looks greatPower windows all go up and down fineit has autoloc keyless entry. nbsp; Very nice to have. power locks workthe rear tail gate operates by both key in back. and switch in dashA/C works great and blows coldheater and vent works4wd shifts fine. and is completely operational. it has lockouts before I got it. nbsp; but I keep them locked in all the time. transmission shifts finefront end parts are solid. (ball joints. tie rods. ect. all good)has factory "trailblazer" aux tank. This factory option installed aux tank sits where the spare tire would go underneath. Normal Jeeps hold less then 25 gallons of gas and you need gas all the time. This Jeep will hold 40-50 gallons of fuel. I have also removed the mechanical fuel pump and installed an electric fuel pump. so it does not have any vapor lock issues. tires are goodinterior is in good shapeheadliner is goodhas tow packageengine is all stock in great shape- just replaced the water pump and power steering pump and belts. smog stuff is all still in good shape. Radiator looks great. battery is great. Cons:Jeep was hit on drivers side 2 years ago. and repaired. and the drivers and passenger doors were replaced. the paint was faded. so the jeep was stripped. primered and painted everywhere but the woodgrain at that time. The woodgrain on driver side doors is not a perfect match. and the woodgrain on inside of door near window was removed. and has not been properly replaced. This Jeep could use a woodgrain kit to make it super nice. there is a tear in the passenger seat bottom. fuel gauge just quit working recently. I have not had time to see if a ground came off or? but it holds plenty of fuel. and I generally just drive it around town. speedometer. works normal up to about 40-50mph. then it jumps quickly up to 80-90mph. kinda fun to drive that way. it seems like you are flying. it could use some window weather stripping.
