Jeep Commando 1967 Description
1967 Jeepster Commando. Power convertible top, 4WD. Dauntless V6 with Turbo Hydramatic 400 Automatic Transmission and power brakes. AM/FM radio. Tires have about 90-95% of their tread. Two tone paint White over Spruce Tip Green Metallic. Seats and top are in excellent condition. Missing radio antenna and two small pieces of chrome exterior trim. No Rust. Driver side and passenger side frontfloors have been replaced and all floors are solid. All lights, turn signals, and heater/fan work. Door trim has to be cleaned up or refurbished. Replacements are available from the Jeepster Guru. Rear interior trim panels are missing. Jeepster Guru also has those. Factory continental kit with factory modifiedrear bumper. All wheel covers, badges and emblems are there and in good shape.Service manual included. Exhaust system, radiator and fuel tank are in excellent condition. Power top raise and lowers with ease. It has the center console and the rare electric console clock. The engine and trans do not leak at all. Left front fender has a dent. The windshield is slightly fogged at the bottom and it is original. 4WD is disconnected at the linkage to transfer case. All shafts and universals are there and in good condition.
It needs a carburetor adjustment or carb rebuild. The RPM at idle is too high when cold and it will stall out if put in gear when running cold. The Rochester two barrel carb is easy to rebuild and kits are still available. The passenger side window has dropped into the door, but all that is needed to fix it are the clips that hold the glass to the lift arm. I will provide these to the buyer. It is always stored inside a dry garage and only driven for fun on warm, sunny days.
I have some new toys to play with and I need the garage space. This is the premium trim level Jeepster that commands the best prices on EBay and at classic car auctions.
