Jeep CJ 1985 Description
Up for auction is this awesome Muscle Jeep 1985 CJ7 with a V8 and transmission upgrade. This restoration project was completed less than 3 years ago with less than 1000 miles put on it since as reflected in the photos. The original tub was replaced due to rust issues (as typical with these old Jeeps) with a solid factory steel tub from a 1991 Jeep. The tubs were the same on these Jeeps for many years though newer years did have gas filler locations on the driver side rear hidden behind the flip down license plate bracket which is the case here. I think it makes for a cleaner look. In any event. This is a sweet project that was done right. Quality work. This awesome Jeep has always been garage kept. Factory tach and clock all work as does all gauges and odometer. EVERYTHING works on the Jeep. It comes with a brand new bikini top, full soft top/doors and half hard doors in excellent condition. Nice pioneer radio/CD player, Cobra CB, overhead speaker/light console, Rhino lined interior floors with new Ridgeline custom heavy duty rubber floor liners. New 33x11.5 R15 tires and rims with 2" lift kit installed at time of restoration. Power steering, power disc brakes, Electric thermostatic controlled dual radiator fans. Comes equipped with a Chevy 350 motor built by Poteats Engines in Kannapolis NC. Former engine builders for Benny Parsons and Dale Earnheart when NASCAR was NASCAR. Erson roller cam (mild), Headers with Flowmaster exhaust that sounds great!, flat top pistons, aluminum heads, 1.5 scorpion roller rockers, 650 Edelbrock carburetor with automatic choke. Tom Woods custom made front drive shaft. TH 400 automatic transmission, Dana 20 Transfer Case. This awesome CJ7 drives, rides and runs great and is clean as a pin inside and out. No disappointments with this beautiful Jeep. The only reason I'm selling this Jeep is because I recently up graded to a newer Correct Craft Sport Nautique wakeboard boat for my family for our little place at a local lake and cannot afford to have both. I pulled the initial auction due to lack of detailed information that I was just recently made aware of. That information is now added, corrected/revised. Jeep is sold as is, clear SC title, no warranty though someone will be getting one awesome bad a$$ Jeep for well under the $20,000 - $25,000 dollar cost for similar Jeeps on Ebay. I will be happy to answer any questions. Just inbox me. GOOD LUCK BIDDING!!!
