1985 Jeep Scrambler CJ-8 w/full hardtop & 99k

Jeep CJ 1985 Description

I am selling my 1985 (late production) Jeep Scrambler CJ-8 with 99k original miles. It's a 5 speed manual (no grinds or noises!!!) 4x4 (Dana 300) with a fresh 4.2L (258ci) inline six cylinder engine. It starts, stops and drives (but it still should be considered a project).
It has a very high amount of factory and dealer options including: AC (missing condenser and a few lines), clock, power steering, cruise control, 20 gallon tank with skid plate and ACME full hard top. It has an old Superlift lift kit (maybe 3"?) with aftermarket alloys and 32" Mastercraft tires (in near NEW condition). The shocks are old and the suspension needs a refresh (ball joints, tie rods, etc). It has some rust thru in front of the right rear wheel and on the right upper door frame. The hood has a dent and the right fender has some damage as well. All of the body panels appear to be original!
It runs very well and the previous owner said that he had the engine rebuilt (however I have no documentation to prove this) less than 1000 miles ago, and at that time installed a new exhaust & cat converter, carburetor, fuel pump, water pump and radiator. It does have all 4 fender flares and a soft top (worn and might be missing pieces). I will also include a tumble and fold rear seat with brackets (grey, non matching) & a early CJ Borg-Warner 4 speed transmission with shifter. I had planned to build it up into the ultimate bug-out vehicle, but with a newborn at home my plans have changed! :/
