Jeep CJ 1950 Description

Well I'm sure no expert on jeeps but a friend of mine has owned this Willys for many years. Since he got divorced it has been sitting idle and in storage for about 10 years or so. This jeep is filthy dirty and just how I received it.It is 65 years old and being sold as is. I would much rather you plan for the worst and hope for the best than be disappointing in anyway. Now all that having been said... Here is what I know. This willys has been highly modified and was professionally built back in the day. I'm not sure of all the details of what it actually was or is?I know its a bit of a Heinz-57 vehicle. The engine is a later model v-6 Buick. ( It has a big cam big intake big carburetor headers etc.).I believe it has a turbo 400 style transmission with a special torque converter as well as an H.E.I. ignition. This thing has more guages than a boeing 747. I think the axles are upgraded and the rear has a traction lock carrier. It also has power steering as well as power brakes. It also comes with a factory style tow bar and the soft door frames and roof bows. Someone more mechanical then myself could have this jeep up and going again in fairly short order. (The engine spins free). This jeep was running fine and was his daily driver when it was last parked. It would make a neat daily-driver or perhaps it might be a good candidate for a restoration?Although it's old and dirty and a bit of a project it's 100% complete. It was all done right once upon a time.I have a clear and open Colorado title for it .I have tried to take good pictures so you can see its overall condition. My opening bid is $19500.00 with no reserve. It's sure not perfect but I can't imagine finding a neater jeep like this for the price. I only want the buyer to be as excited as I was when it came my way. Wish I knew more but I will try to answer any questions you may have. Thanks..Terms of sale...I can not ship.....
