Jeep Wrangler 1988 Description
For your consideration is a 1988 Jeep Wrangler YJ (Laredo edition) being sold by a 68 year old senior adventurer. I am selling it because my future plans for using it have changed. For background information, do not know previous owner history butI bought this Jeep from my son-in-law who had it shipped from aCalifornia dealerin basically stock condition. It has a Bestop classic softop (black denim) in good condition. The body and frame are rust-free; the paint is black and also good, nd the seats are denim grey in good condition. The Jeep is very clean and gets compliments every day; it comes with standard full steel doors as well as steel half doors. Motor is strong and the mileage is currently showing 169,285; the oil pressure is very good. The transmission is a manual 5 speed with power steering. It rolls down the road without wandering all over the highway. It has a JVC aftermarket radio with bluetooth but far too complicated for me to figure out; 2dash speakers and 2 wedge speakers in back. Clean title is in hand. Please note that this is not a new Jeep but one that is 27 years old. It may not be perfect but it has truly not been abused. Here's what I've done to it this year: - New radiator - New front brake disc pads - New trailing wiring with electrical converter - New (5) Mickey Thompson Baja STZ radial tires (only a couple hundred miles on them); 31x10.5x15; aggressive tread but very quiet and easy rolling - New (5) Mickey Thompson Classic Baja Beadlock alloy wheels 15x8 - New Zone 2" lift suspension system (new spring leafs, ew shackles, ew nitro shocks and boots, nd new steering damper) - New Slip Yoke Eliminator (SYE) on back of transfer case - New rear drive shaft with constant velocity joint (eliminated all drive line vibrations in all gears) - New rock crusher front bumper with D rings - New rock crusher rear bumper with Class 3 tow hitch and swing out spare tire carrier - New Smittybilt 9500 XRC winch (self-recovery and waterproof) (never used) - New raised Smittybilt winch plate - New side rock guards with built-in step plate - New 6" Xenon urethane flat fender flares (expensive!) (covers all of the tire tread in order to be street legal) - New molded vinyl floor in the passenger seating area - New LED dash lights - New Smittybilt steel locking center console - New Bestop off-road floor mats - New NAPA eight year 1000 cranking AMP premium battery ( strong enough for winch use) - New rear main oil seal, il pan gasket and transmission gasket - New half door mirrors - New Bestop denim grey bikini top - New door window sweep seals for full steel doors - New running amber turn signal covers and beadlock trim for rear tail lights - New GaragePro rear folding tumble seat in denim grey - Used half steel half doors with several flat panel push in dents; paint is not the best quality job but looks okay; there are no half door upper frames and skins Competent mechanics were hired to do the mechanical work while other work was done by me. Many hours have been devoted to making this Jeep one that the owner can be proud of. On the lesser side, t has factory AC which does not work and has not been converted to comply with the new type freon; however, he compressor motor turns freely. The running lights are on the factory switch and dimmer while the headlights are controlled by a toggle switch.Keys do not fit doors. There's not much left to do on this famous square headlight ICON. Again, lease note that it is not a new vehicle. I have represented honestly its condition and the work I have done on it. It comes with no expressed or implied warranties whatsoever. Buyer to bear all costs for shippingor pickup. Total payment required before title release. Winning must deposit $500 non-refundable deposit via Paypal within 48 hoursafter bidding ends. Thanks for looking!!!
