for your consideratio, a 1954 mercury monterey 4 door sedan. 51000 original miles. first bought newby a doctor in pocatello id. then bought by my neighbor, not sure when. Then i bought it 5 years ago. I am the 3rd owner. The car has always been kept in the owners garages and been very well maintained. It had sat in the garage of the last owner since it was repainted 1n 1979. A small tablet in the glove box has a complete service record of everything that was done from the time it was new until present. I added the continental kit from canada and the fulton visor. The clock and radio are not working . I got it out of the shed the other day washed it and now the wipers are not working. I think a vacume tube probably fell off. I have never tried getting the radio or clock working because i have newer ways for the time and music.Lights all work and the car runs like a dream. The drive train and rear end all work fine. It has a column 3 speed shift with overdrive and all work perfect. Head liner great.. seats are going bad. The foam rubber in the seats is turning to powder from age, and will have to be fixed at some point. I had the fuel tank boiled out, new fuel pump, new brake shoes, new wheel cylinders, new master cylinder. The car is not a show car but it is a very nice dayley driver.New radial tires, spinner hub caps, the orignal hub caps are in the trunk with everything that has been removed or replaced. car 100 percent orginal except paint job.Body has some scraches, paint chips, a few dings, and a few small dents. Also a new heater core. Passenger side front door glass and wing window are cracked but function fine. I also have the solid cover for the continental kit.Chrome is all there and looks pretty good for being so old.All the gauges inside work.Dome light and cig lighter work. Springs and shocke are ok. All the brakes will have to be adjusted and bled right. It pulls to the right and i have never adjusted them since they were replaced. A little tlc and it will be a very nice car.
