Mercury Cougar 1972 Description

I bought this car up on blocks, not running. The original owner passed away in 2005 and the car was parked. Prior to that it was only used in parades from about 1990. It was repainted around 2003 and the top was changed from black to white. Only a few hundred miles were put on the car after that. I went through the fuel system from the tank to carb. All new brakes from M/C to wheel cylinders. New front hubs, rotors, lines, hoses calipers etc:. Complete tune with hoses, belts, sending units, all ignition parts etc;.. This car is a straight as they get. No wind noises, no water in the car when you wash it. All the window seals are in great shape. Remember this is a Calif. car. The underside is as solid as a rock. Floors, rockers, Trunk drops, and floors are perfect, with NO signs of rust. The surface rust you see in the trunk barely breaks thru the paint, looks much worse than it is. Torque boxes and mounts are perfect, with no signs of rust. Everything on this car works. Whatever you can think of, it works as it should. All gauges and dash lites, console lights, am radio with 8- track and a few tapes from the era. Sequenceil tail lights work perfect, with factory relays and flashers.Wiring harness is all original, with NO signs of anyone touching anything. Top works like new with a boot. Convertible top well is intact and in good shape. She runs excellent, with no issues with motor, trans or rear axle. Reach in and start. Suspension is quiet and smooth with no rattles or thuds or squeeks. Goes and stops straight. Console is tight and even the armrest door latch works. The A/C system works as it should but needs to be converted. The heater and A/C controls work like butter, and blows hard through all ducts. Comes with all kinds of paperwork and manuals from calif.. to present.. It's a GREAT car. Check my feedback on prior car sales. I don't by them unless they are good cars. $500.00 deposit due at auctions end. Final payment by COD or bank to bank transfer.
