Mercury Comet 1965 Description

1965 Comet Caliente, with a fresh 347cid stroker.
I've done a ton of work to this car and I think it be hard to find a better car for the money. Here's all the details.
Engine has 1500 miles on it since it was built, its a late model 5.0 block with a Scat rotating assembly taking it to 347 CID. It has an Earson hydraulic roller cam, Comp cams full roller rockers and girdle. AFR 185 CNC ported aluminum heads. Powder coated Edlebrock Vic JR intake and a new Quick Fuel Q series 750 double pumper carb. Holley electric fuel pump. Ceramic coated Doug's Tri-y headers, Pypes stainless exhaust. Engine runs great and makes awesome power.
Trans is a T-5 from a 93 mustang that works perfect. its matted to a new Ford racing clutch. Brand new drive shaft.
Just installed a Ford 9" rear end with 3.70 gears and a Detroit locker in a Strange S case with Strange 30 spline axles and all new bearings.
Power Disc brakes in the front and all new drum brakes in the rear. Complete new front suspension. New tie rod ends and the steering box was sent to Red Head steering gear to be rebuilt. Caltracs split mono leaf rear springs and traction bar system. New Hurst wheels and Cooper tires.
New headliner and seat upholstery. New windshield and seal, also had the seal for the rear window replaced as well.
The car had very little rust, I replaced a section of the drivers front floor pan, the hole was only about 3"x3" but a previous owner did a poor job so I removed his mess and fixed it right. Passenger front pan had a couple small holes that I also cut out and welded properly. there is a couple small holes in the driver's lower quarter that I tried to show in the pics. When I had the glass out I painted the roof a lincoln pearl white and planned on painting the car Ford Frosted Glass which I have a gallon of Dupont Croma Base to go with the car. The Driver's door has some terrible body work that is starting to pop so I have a super clean door shell to go with the car. I have brand new front kick panels that are made for speaker to go into. I have 2 extra sets of tail lights and a pretty nice set of chrome for the back of the car. I replaced the wood grain on the dash and painted the dash board at that time. Car really only needs carpet, door panels and Exterior to be painted.
Feel free to ask questions as I'm sure I forget a few things,Anthony
