Mercury Comet 1965 Description

The Mercury Comet received all new styling for 1965! The biggest change being vertical headlights that made it look more like a Ford than Mercury. With a much more square shape, the new Comet base 6-cylinder engine was increased from 170 cid to 200 cid. Still using a single-barrel carburetor it produced 120horsepower at 4400 rpm. The optional automatic was changed to a "Merc-O-Matic" 3-speed automatic transmission.
I have installed a brand new headliner, brand new red halo led headlamps, brand new white wall tires, brand new weather stripping and brand new paint. The interior is in mint condition with no rips or tears in the cloth red seats. Everything on this vehicle is original with no alterations to the chassis, engine or suspension. I used this vehicle as my only car, not needing to drive that often, i drove it about 2 times a week. Now i am selling it because i rarely drive anywhere.
This Comet runs and looks as new. Great buy!
