For Sale - 1969 Mercury Cougar Very good running condition. Original 351 Windsor motor. all new brakes upgraded with power brake booster. brand new American 15” Torque Thrust D rims. brand new BF Goodrich radial TA’s. Excellent interior. no cracks or rips in dash or seats. Beautiful chrome grill and tail light assemblies. I believe that this car has 56. 31 original miles on it. I acquired it a couple of years ago as a partial trade for another car that I sold. and had planned on using it as a parts car for my beat up XR7. because of the excellent condition of the chrome and interior. But after taking it for a spin around the block. I realized that wasn’t going to happen. I have been trying to convince my wife that I need both Cougars. but she’s not buying it! The previous owner bought it from a salvage yard in Kansas and had the bodywork on the passenger side rear quarter panel done by a reputable shop in Cheyenne. WY. It sat in his garage for probably 10 years before he traded it to me. Because the interior is in such great shape. and the car is mostly original. we believe that the miles shown on the odometer are correct ( If it had 157. 00 miles on it. the driver’s seat would at least show more wear. ) I have all the receipts from the previous owner. showing his original purchase and the work he had done. plus receipts for what I have done to it. I also have extra parts that I purchased and haven’t installed yet. The car does have a clear salvage title. It has not been painted since the body work was done. so it needs that. but not much else.
