Mercury Cougar 1972 Description

1972 Mercury Cougar XR7 convert, arts or restoration, ood title, ill of sale and previous registration from CT. 351C 2bbl v8, uto trans, " rear end, uns with good oil pressure but does have a lifter tick as it hadn't been run for 20 years until it was pulled out of the barn when I bought it. I needed a convertible top frame for a restoration of a 71 Mustang and since most mechanical parts interchange between Cougars and Mustangs the top frame is a direct fit. That said, he top frame with the Cougar is broken but complete. The car starts, uns, nd moves on its own, ut is not drivable due to only partial brakes. It has power windows which mostly work, ull gauge package, onsole, ower top (pump works) but frame is not attached. Frame and chassis are pretty solid, loors and trunk are decent but would need some work. Has new brakes up front but they have been on the car for 20 years, ar just was not driven. Complete car with all the grilles, enses and chrome, ront bumper is good, ear bumper has bad chrome, ar was originally Yellow, ow maroon/brown. This is a great parts car but could be restored that is up to the next owner.
